Chronic Pain Management
Chiropractic. It’s about restoring function and total health to your nervous system which coordinates every bodily function. People of all ages and walks of life, from differing professions and backgrounds experience amazing improvements with chronic pain and their health and wellness through the use of consistent chiropractic care.
The phenomenon of chronic pain.
There are many causes for chronic pain. Before anyone is treated for chronic pain it is essential that the chiropractor performs a thorough examination to determine the source and cause of the discomfort and pain. X-rays may be involved and other possible tests performed for accurately devising a plan that will include manipulation, manual therapies and specifically designed exercises that we will implement. We often talk about our philosophy with our patients where we work towards a life style and an overall wellness. For chronic pain, the prognosis is usually very good going forward as much of one's chronic pain is a result of misalignment and the body's nervous system needing attention. The goal is to remove physical stressors and spinal imbalances that can cause your nervous system not to be working at its optimum ability; this is what chiropractic care has shown it can do. Furthermore, pain reduction from causes associated with cancer, pregnancy and labor, and sufferers of chronic low back (avoiding surgical procedures) has been highly evident over time.
If you are not out working as a trades person or in any area that may keep you active throughout the day, then you are probably strapped to a desk and hunched over your work.So many jobs are like this in today's technology driven careers and at times we are not always aware of how easily it is to slip into the habit of heading to the couch for down time because of fatigue. We encourage regular activity, even when it seems like a chore, and regular adjustments to help restore health and balance to the spine and balance to the body as the pathway to relieving chronic pain. It is common sense that when physical stress is relieved, the body will respond with its own healing mechanism that is already in place.
