SECRETS OF FEELING YOUNGER AS YOU AGE!
This is so sad! We are here on this earth for a purpose. Life is not meant to be about survival, it is meant to be about THRIVAL! I have spoken about this topic in the past within various sub-topics such as eating right, thinking right and moving right. As in the right way; all are essential to living a life full of thriving.
The first topic I like to look at is eating right. There is so much confusion and conflicting information out there today, when it comes to our food choices. The foods we eat can either lift our energy and immunity up or it can tear it down. Unfortunately, many “healthy” foods we were told to eat, over recent decades, are actually potentially robbing us of vitality, energy and even our health.
Healthy diet is much more than simply getting the right amount of calories. When we feed our cells the nutrients they need, they can take care of us better and more efficiently. There are many ways to improve diet and many sources of information that can help all of us. While you may find conflicting and confusing opinions and writings on the best foods and nutrition, you will find that common sense will prevail and building a sound healthy diet is well within your grasp.
The second theme I believe to be important and have focused on is thinking right. We can easily be distracted by any number of stressful frustrating events in our life. It’s important for us to remember, it’s not what happens to us that is important, but rather how we respond to what happens to us. It’s easy to become angry or disheartened from events that happen and we feel we have no control over them. But, even if you don’t possess that control, you do have a say in how you will deal with a given event.
Each and every one of us has a story. We all have been hurt, or missed out on opportunities and live with regrets. Focusing on these things, though, only leaves us in the past and as a result we miss out on a glorious future.
The third topic that I know to be critical for us to live abundant and joyful lives is moving right. Taking control of your physical self and treating it right through movement and proper exercise. Regrettably, if we are like most people today, sitting for many hours a day, we are slowly killing ourselves. Research is now telling us that more people die from sitting than die from smoking!
The three topics I have touched on here are inter-twined and rely on each other to provide the way to joyful lives. Even if we eat right and think right, if we aren’t moving right, our bodies will break down rapidly and our get up and go mentality will go too!
